NIST Creates a 2 Qubit Programmable Quantum Computer

At the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) they've done it again: they've created a 2 qubit programmable quantum computer. The key word here is programmable, it can carry out an arbitrary sequence of operations. We still need to scale things up, but this is another important milestone.

  1. Dr.Matt Purkeypile,

You blog is informative and relevant. Thanks for doing a great work.

I am doing my final year project on Quantum computer algorithms. Your blog is immense helpful to me.

  2. kg- glad I could be of help. Hope you're project is going well. I'll probably be doing some posts soon on Shor's algorithm as I build that up with Cove.
